Illegal structures demolished in Olievenhoutbosch and Lotus Gardens

The city of Tshwane is pleased to report that they havelaunched multidisciplinary Anti-land Invasion. Structures that were erected illegally are demolished around the city by the task teams.

The Executive Mayor Councillor Randall Williams says currently their teams have received information that there are people who are invading the land and illegally erecting structures in Olievenhoutbosch Ext. 26 and Lotus Gardens Ext. 4.

He added that the city has zero-tolerance to the land invasions in Tshwane.

“Within 24 hours of receiving the information and verifying the information our TMPD Land invasion Unit together with our Service Providers responded accordingly and demolished the illegal structures in both locations,” Williams said.

Williams says the establishment of the multidisciplinary Anti-Land Invasion Task team will play a good role in protecting the property rights.

“I would like to commend our teams for speedily responding to these incidents of attempted land invasion,” he said.

He added that the city has patrollers to make sure that all the places in Tshwane do not get invaded illegally.
