Kwesta has the spirit to vuri vaai anyone who doesn’t believe that he’s on a winning international collaboration streak. From his initial collabo with Wale on the street anthem Spirit and having Rick Ross lend his vocals on Kuhambani the K1 God has elevated his status with Run it up.
Shot on location in Katlehong the music video brings out the rawness of South Africa’s impoverished yet inspiring townships. The song highlights the hardships experienced by the less privileged and how determination and ambition drives a person to carve a path to success.
The portion of the song that had Kwesta’s followers going bezerk was when Rich Homie Quan raps in zulu ‘siphetheizinja’. Both artists’ chemistry is evident and it made for a superb song. Kwesta has proven that anything in life is possible if only you are willing to work hard.
Salute to the K1 God! Keep making us proud.
