Renowned actress and singer Abigail Kubheka (74) wasrecently assaulted by a taxi driver in Orlando East, Soweto where she later opened a case against the unknown driver.
Mama Khubeka was driving from Meadowlands to work using the N17 route when she allegedly bumped into a taxi causing the taxi driver to approach her and unleash a barrage of punches and slapsa.
The Orlando police station located the owner of the taxi but the driver who attacked mama Khubeka wasnowhere to be found. The passengers in the taxi werereported to have tried calming down the overly agitateddriver.
Gauteng News can confirm that Khubeka opened a case of assault but no arrests have been made thus farand the case is still under investigation.
Social media was abuzz with twitter users expressingtheir anger towards the taxi driver who appeared to have no respect for elderly people.
