Mabopane artists to drop new song to address GBV

Bongani Mnisi known as ‘Mafatshe SA’ collaborated with Youngmolz and Phill Moepi to release a new song to educate and address people about gender-based violence (GBV). Trio artists from Mabopane, Pretoria, song is scheduled for release on the 23th of this month. The song is a single titled “KANJANI” which means how.

This song follows the scourge of GBV and social uncertainty during Covid-19 lockdown which started in March this year. The founder of Mafatshe Pro Pty Ltd, Mafatshe SA, has recently caught-up with Gauteng news to share the motive behind their upcoming song.

“Music is diverse and teaches individuals to respect and understand the true meaning of love. It also challenges mostly artists to be at their best and work on their Art crafts as brands. All songs are dance tracks which emphasizes a strong foundation of love and more especially gender-based violence,”

“For me personally, self-determination and consistency are the greatest keys. Life is a blessing and an inspirational platform whereby we draw inspiration and motivation from, depending on how we take things,” he said.

The trio artists admiration of playing a live instrument fuelled this group of young and dedicated artists to work together to create music.

“Art is made to serve the people positively. We have seen certain growth to our brands and as for art lovers in partnership, we envision even greater things to come.” He said.

Mafatshe SA added and said that they are looking for a national and international exposure. 

“We are also looking for the public and media status to show case our God given talents to the world and also recognition in the entertainment industry,” he said.

He further mentioned the names of other songs that they are working on their project.

“1. (KANJANI) Translation; “How” [Featuring] MAFATSHE SA_YOUNGMOLZ and PHILL MOEPI 2. (INDLELA) – Translation; “A Way” [Featuring] MAFATSHE SA_YOUNGMOLZ & PHILL MOEPI 3. (UMHLABA) Translation; “The World [Featuring] MAFATSHE SA & DJ STONE SA.” he said.
