The case of mama Abigail Kubheka (74) is still under investigation and the suspect has not yet been apprehended by the South African Police Services (SAPS).The owner of the taxi could not locate where the driver, who assaulted Mama Khubeka recently at Orlando East, is.
Currently the case has been taken to SAPS provincial department and it is under investigation. Mama Kubheka was invited by the MEC of Public Transport and Roads Infrastructure, Jacob Mamabolo, recently at a seminar for women in the taxi industry and he apologised to Mama Abigail together with female taxi operators for the incident that took place in Soweto.
Gauteng News tried to get hold of the spokesperson of SAPS provincial department but were unable to solicit acomment.
