The body of a woman that was found in Klipspruit River has been identified as a 37-year-old female originally from the Eastern Cape. Moroka law enforcement chose to conceal the identity of the woman as requested by her family.
The woman was reported to have been discharged from hospital but couldn’t walk herself home. She was very ill and was known to be living with her boyfriend in Klipspruit extension two, according to witnesses who reported the matter to the Moroka police station.
“The lady was very ill, witnesses from the community confirmed that she was thrown into the river by her boyfriend. At the moment we’re looking for the suspect and the case is currently under investigation.
“Unfortunately, we cannot confirm the name of the hospital where the deceased was discharged from and the nature of her death until an autopsy has been performed,” said Captain Khosa spokesperson of Moroka police station.
The police confirmed that the woman is originally from the Eastern Cape and the body has been identified by her family.
