R50 000 reward for capture of Thibedi’s killer

ActionSA party is offering a R50 000 reward to a person who can come forward with information leading to the arrest of Mothusi Thibedi’s murderer.

45 years old late Thibedi who lived at Moroka North in Soweto, was the party member and slain volunteer.

ActionSA national spokesperson Lerato Ngobeni said Thibedi was gunned down outside his home on 12 October 2020, by the unknown assailant. He was laid to rest today at Westpark Cemetery.

“Thibedi was returning from his routine rounds with members of the community forum when murdered. The unknown man ambushed the deceased, shot him once on the back and twice on the chest. He was rushed for medical assistance but unfortunately died on the way to the hospital. Reasons surrounding his murder are still unknown at this stage but all indicators point it as a hit. We are not sure whether Thibedi’s killing was politically motivated or not”, she added.

Ngobeni said ActionSA is working with South African Police Services (SAPS), to investigate the murder case in order to bring Thibedi’s killer to face justice.
