URGENT CALL ON POLICE TO PRIORITIZE DR A MUNSHIE MURDER INVESTIGATION

Colleagues of Dr Abdulhay Munshie, has made calls for law enforcement officials to prioritise the murder investigation of their late colleague who was brutally murdered last month.

Munshie has made a tremendous contribution to anaesthetics and medicine in South Africa over many years.

He was shot dead at Orange Grove Johannesburg last month, in circumstances which suggest that the problem may not have been an act of random criminality, but was perhaps a planned attack.

“We are distressed and worried that there appears to be no or little progress into the investigation, and note that there has been no news, from the authorities, as to the status of the investigation of the case. “

Munshie’s colleagues says that they do not want this case to vanish into obscurity, and believe that it is very important that this case, as well as all other criminal cases in South Africa, be solved and finalised.

“We do not want the public and authorities to forget about Dr Munshi, and we encourage the police to solve the case as rapidly as possible.”

Anti-crime activist, Yusuf Abramjee, who is also first Vice-President of Crime Stoppers International (CSI)  appealed to anyone with information that can solve the murder to contact authorities.

Tip-offs can be made to the SAPS Crime Stop number 08600 10111. You can remain anonymous. “Someone, somewhere, somehow knows something,” said Abramjee.
