Sjava’s song Hlasela, inspires an upcoming artist

31-year-old Soweto based soulful RnB and house music artist Nompumelelo Buthelezi, whose stage name is Lelow B released her single named never let you go earlier last month.

Lelow B was born in Kwazulu-Natal where her music career started at the age of five. She started singing professionally when she was 10 years old. She is not signed under any record label but forms part of Ezase West Entertainment management, in Orlando West where she resides.

“Music has always been my family as I started to sing at the age of five. In 2011, I came to Johannesburg with the hope to pursue my music career but things fell apart. I went back to Kwazulu-Natal. I remember listening to Sjava’s song called Hlasela where his lyrics are saying ‘hlasela uthathe ikhali zakho uyolwela ikusasa lakho’. I felt like he was talking to me then came back to the city of gold in 2016 and pushed my music. I want to make myself proud by achieving my goal of being a global star”, she added.

Lelow B said her song is about love, never letting people close to us go away. The song also appreciates, honours memories and embraces love shared with them. She said never let you go single was produced by Sizwe and has been played on Gagasi FM.

“I am planning a tour before the end of the year, where I can increase my value in the industry and network. I have performed on stage with the likes of Trompies and had a guest list of kwaito legend named Spikiri. Never let you go single comes from an album called Journey. Anyone can get the song on https://m.soundcloud.com/user-9536235/never-let-you-go”, Lelow B added.

She said her inspiration also comes from artists who are doing well for themselves. Lelow B explained that she comes from an unprivileged family so she is aiming to make her dream of leaving a mark in the industry come true.

“I want my family to be financially stable, spread my sound and inspire other upcoming artists. I wish to work with artists such as DJ Maphorisa, Kabza da small, Oskido, Sun EI, DJ Dira, Sjava, Prince Kaybee and Tshego. People can get in touch with me on Facebook: Lelow Buthelezi and Instagram: @Lelowb_sa”, she said.
