Former vice President of Alex Northrand LFA and United Stars football Club administrator Lusanda Jika, has died.
Her death comes following a long battle with illness, which has seen Jika going in and out of hospital. She passed away at Edenvale General Hospital on Monday afternoon, chairperson of United Stars Sakhile Zulu confirms.
Jika dedicated her life for the entirety of her football career, making her mark as one of the top female football administrators in Alexandra. After joining the United Stars, which is currently the most successful club in the Alex Northrand LFA, it is without a doubt that the team came out to be amongst the ones that were tipped to succeed and transcend to the promotional league.
The LFA Chairperson Sakhile Zulu, said that the club has been hit hard by Jika’s sudden death. Her death came at a time where many were hoping for his recovery.
“I am not sure whether we shall ever recover from the devastating blow but that’s the way of life and there is very little we can do.”
