Tshwane Mayor Randall Williams conducts oversight visits in Centurion region 4

On Monday 30 August 2021, Executive Mayor of Tshwane, Randall Williams conducted an oversight visit to region 4 in Centurion. He says this is part of his weekly oversight programme to assess service delivery related matters and monitor progress on key projects across all 7 regions of Tshwane.

To this visit, he disclosed that he was accompanied by the MMC’s, Councillor Dana Wannenburg, Councillor Bruce Lee, Councillor Sakkie du Plooy and City of Tshwane regional officials and ward councillors.

Williams added that the visit broadly covered three core service delivery areas namely Water and Sanitation, Electricity and Roads and Transport.

“Some of the repair work had already been underway including streetlights repairs, cleaning and maintenance of storm water inlets,” Williams said.

He mentioned that as the rainy season approaches, it was important that he also first-hand preventative measures on capacity to deal with the downpours that are normally expected during this period.

“We also took the opportunity to check maintenance of streetlights, the area has a major problem of cable theft which continue to disrupt our infrastructure,” added Williams. 

He included that the City of Tshwane is deploying multiple interventions to combat these crimes.
