13-year-old Sipho Miya was terrified to wake up in a home that burnt down on Sunday morning at Sebokeng, Johannesburg.
Miya woke up to discover his three relatives burnt to death. While struggling to remove himself from the burning house, he went to his neighbors to seek for help.
Devastated Sipho discovered his grandmother Stella Miya, 73, his aunt Gugulethu Miya, 35, and Cousin Mpho Dube, 13, burnt to death at their home.
The cause of the fire is not known yet, and the case is under investigation at the local police station at Sebokeng.
Neighbors were shocked to see the three-burnt bodies and want to understand what really caused the death.
When Sipho woke up to the smoke he tried to wake up his family but couldn’t understand why they could not wake up, neighbors rushed in the house only to find the family died from the fire. The young survivor is still shocked and traumatized but he will be receiving counseling to process the horrific death of his three family members.
