A body of a 36 year old man was found under a bridge in ProteaNorth, Soweto Extension 2 on Mdlalose Street. Local police are asking for the community to contact them if they might have any information apprehending the suspect who murdered the man. Refilwe Melete from Naledi Extension 2 was found dead on the scene by local police but no one knows the cause of the death.
The 36 year old was found with injuries on his head; however, the police don’t have any leads regarding the case and suspect. Community members are invited to come forward and they can report criminal cases as anonymous.
Spokesperson for the communications department of Protea Glen Police Station, Mr Mashiteng, spoke to Gauteng News, “No arrests have been made as yet and we currently don’t have development in regards to this case”.
Community members are urged to report to the police station to apprehend the suspect. “Residents have a responsibility to report criminal cases and we need to work together to ensure a safe community for everyone”, said Mashiteng.
