Johannesburg – The Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) will host its 2nd Annual Charity Golf Challenge on Thursday, 4 December 2025, with President Cyril Ramaphosa expected to headline the event at the Country Club Johannesburg in Woodmead.
The charity golf day forms part of COSATU’s ongoing social impact programme aimed at raising funds for school shoes, sanitary packs and other essential items for underprivileged learners. The federation said the event brings together leaders from government, labour and business to support initiatives that promote community development.
According to COSATU, President Ramaphosa will join union leadership and invited stakeholders for the morning tee-off. The schedule includes a 10:00 Presidential tee-off, followed by a 10:30 shotgun start for all participants. The event will conclude with a Gala Dinner at the same venue at 18:30.
In a statement, COSATU said the charity event reflects the values of Ubuntu and collective action. “The initiative unites labour, government and business leaders on the green to raise funds for activities that support disadvantaged learners,” the federation noted.
Members of the media have been invited to cover the event and document what COSATU calls a notable fusion of leadership, purpose and social responsibility.Johannesburg – The Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) will host its 2nd Annual Charity Golf Challenge on Thursday, 4 December 2025, with President Cyril Ramaphosa expected to headline the event at the Country Club Johannesburg in Woodmead.
