Blxckie song Ronda and its music video are making waves in the music industry. The song’s music video was released on Friday, 14 April and appears to be performing exceptionally well.
Blxckie recently achieved a significant milestone in his music career by reaching 30 million streams on the global streaming platform, Apple Music. This places him in an exclusive group of South African rappers who have also accomplished this feat, including Nasty C and AKA.
Blxckie (23) whose real name is Sihle Sithole believes that musicians need to navigate new technology to stay relevant and competitive in the music fraternity.
“Ronda” is a remarkable track from Blxckie’s innovative hip-hop project, The4Mula. It exemplifies his rap skills with cleverly crafted rhymes and ingenious flows. The music video for “Ronda” was released after the much-delayed music video for “Kwenzekile”, which dropped last October.
Ronda is an intelligent sports reference that Blxckie delivers in rap form, boldly proclaiming his undeniable place as the greatest in the game. Blxckie said that the experience of creating the vibrant Ronda music video was fresh and took their work to new heights.
“Creating this visual was new and very elevated from anything we have ever done before. It was incredible to see how creativity and technology can be manipulated to create a multi-dimensional narrative,” he said.
Blxckie also expressed confidence that the video would be one of the best of the year. “It’s more than a music video, and I’m really proud of what we did as a team,” he said.
The director of the music video, Jason Howes, said that the inspiration for the video came from the idea of filming in a virtual production studio.
“It was also a chance to experiment with Unreal Engine technology. In the end, the idea of ‘same song, different channel’ emerged, and that’s why we moved through TV sets as we changed scenes in a seamless way,” he said.
