Jabulani Police Station gets a bomb tip off

Recently Jabulani Police Station received a tip off callduring the early hours of Saturday morning, informing police officers about a bomb at Jabulani Mall. Police officers went to the mall immediately and escorted the local shoppers to a safe place, and it is alleged that the mall unit experts inspected the place and declared Jabulani Mall as safe.

However, it is unclear whether the tip off was correct or not as the police officers are still investigating the matter. The South African Police Services confirmed that the person who reported the bomb might face serious charges.

Local police confirmed that community members can relax and not panic as no bomb was found by the unit experts. Police officers warned that a criminal case will be opened against the informant who contacted the police about the false information. Gauteng News attempted to get hold of Captain Sifiso Mabizela, spokesperson of Jabulani Police Station but were unable to get a comment at the time of publishing.
