Naledi police launch manhunt

A 26-year-old man sustained multiple stab wounds and later died at the hospital on Tuesday in Naledi, Soweto. The Naledi South African Police Services (SAPS) have since launched a manhunt following the gruesome incident. 

The local police confirmed that the incident took place after the victim had sparked an argument with the suspect. 

The suspect is reported to have fled the scene afterstabbing the deceased and an investigation of a murder case is currently underway. 

According to Constable Dakalo Phemula, “The police’s preliminary investigation discovered that the incident occurred after the deceased started an augment with the suspect who fled the scene afterward”. 

The Naledi Saps urges the community members to assist in finding the suspect and they can contact the police station on 011 527 8600 or the Saps crime stop line on 086 0010 111 or by using the Mysaps mobile app.
