Rap veteran Siyabonga Metane, popularly known as Slikour, has struck a major deal with music station Channel 0. The OG started the online music platform SlikourOnLife back in 2013 with a hand-held phone and did not anticipate what the blog has become.
From being shunned away by TV stations due to the uncertainty of blogs, especially 7 years ago, and his music being banned at some point… Things were pretty dull for Slikado.
“Back then TV said I’m unpredictable, my music was banned at one stage [and] my honesty got me blackballed. Thanks to the teams that got this together, the custodians of the shows for trusting us and for Channel 0 TV giving our flagship shows a look”, he said.
This is definitely a good look for hip hop as viewers of SlikourOnLife would not have to only view the show online but view it comfortably in the comfort of their own home. All SlikourOnLife shows will be broadcast on channel 0 and this is exciting especially since viewers will also be watching their favourite artists presenting such as rapper Reason and DJ Speedsta.
