Rapper Reason has been in the industry for more than a decade if you consider his pre-fame days. From battle rap and punchline oriented songs the Katlehong MC has shown consistency in 2019.
His latest song Ngyakuthanda is proof of his evolution as an artist and many of his fans are embracing his new sound. A far cry from the grungy hardcore raps you might expect from him but this song definitely strikes the right chords.
The mellow beat with a touch of auto-tune on the chorus makes for a good sing-along and highlights the intended message. Reason is spreading love by encouraging the listener to love those around them as well as themselves.
One cannot help but consider the recent violence in Johannesburg and align this song with the much needed spiritual healing. Take some time out and bump this joint while searching within your soul because love is something you find.
